Hormone Pellet Therapy

Hormone Pellet Therapy For Men

Bioidentical Testosterone Pellet Therapy in Milford, MA

Many men experience the symptoms caused by Testosterone Deficiency as they age. Seeking treatment to restore testosterone levels is simpler than you may think. Testosterone Pellet Therapy is an option that is safe, painless, and effective for restoring hormonal balance, wellbeing, and sexual health.

Bioidentical hormone pellet therapy for men provides natural restoration of testosterone, mimicking the natural structure and function of testosterone made by the human body.

Unlike other hormone replacement therapy delivery methods, testosterone pellet therapy maximizes convenience and efficacy to achieve optimal hormonal balance in men who are experiencing the symptoms of Testosterone Deficiency or Low T.

What is Testosterone Pellet Therapy?

Testosterone Pellet Therapy is a method of Hormone Replacement Therapy (TRT) that delivers testosterone by inserting tiny, grain sized pellets under the skin to restore testosterone balance efficiently and consistently in men.

This method of hormone therapy can help reduce symptoms of Testosterone Deficiency (Low T) or Andropause, including:

  • Fatigue
  • Low Libido
  • Loss of Interest in Sex
  • Mood Swings
  • Loss of Muscle Mass
  • Erectile Dysfunction
  • Difficulty Concentrating or “Brain Fog”

What is Bioidentical Testosterone Pellet Therapy?

Bioidentical Testosterone Pellet Therapy utilizes Bioidentical testosterone pellets derived from natural sources which duplicate a man’s natural testosterone.

Bioidentical testosterone is engineered from plants to mimic human testosterone which makes it immediately available in the bloodstream. This is believed to improve efficacy and minimize side effects. In addition, Bioidentical testosterone can be custom compounded to offer highly specific dosing for patients for optimal results.

Dr. Steinberg utilizes EvexiPEL Bioidentical Testosterone Pellets. How are Testosterone Pellets Inserted?

Dr. Steinberg performs Testosterone Pellet Therapy insertions in the office using local anesthesia. During a 15-minute office procedure, the testosterone pellets are implanted under the skin in a man’s “love handle” area on the lower flank above the belt line. The testosterone pellets start delivering consistent levels of testosterone almost immediately and eventually completely dissolve over the course of five to six months. For men who are more active or under high stress, more hormone is typically released—the same reaction as the body would have with natural testosterone. Pellet Insertions are usually repeated every 5 to 6 months following review of lab work and symptoms.

There is virtually no pain during or after the procedure. Patients usually resume normal activities in 24 hours.

What Happens After Testosterone Pellet Therapy Insertion?

After the Testosterone Pellet Insertion, Dr. Steinberg orders lab tests to be drawn in approximately one month and schedules a phone call with his patient to review the lab results and have a detailed discussion about blood work, symptom improvement, and next steps. Typically, the next Testosterone Pellet Therapy insertion is scheduled in 5 or 6 months.

Am I a Good Candidate for Testosterone Pellet Therapy?

For men with Testosterone Deficiency or a diagnosis of Low T, the advantages of Testosterone Replacement Therapy may make the method a superior choice of treatment. A consultation with Dr. Steinberg in our Milford, MA office can help determine if this treatment method is appropriate for you.
